The CityPastoral concept is a self-sufficient church space that can be seen as a possible response to the communication needs of modern society. It is particularly effective where people cannot or can no longer be reached via the parish or other traditional church services.
The new spatial structures in the listed building are designed to be open in order to enable dynamic work processes and maintain a continuous, qualitative engagement with the premises. In addition to promoting communicative encounters, their conceptual enclosure is primarily intended to convey discretion and trust.
